Look what I found in a crusty old box up in the rafters of my parents' garage - All handmade Victorian Tinsel Christmas ornaments. They must have been my grandmother's long ago. They look so amazing on the black Christmas tree at my shop.

Meet Velma, once a poor, pathetic, plain Jane pin cushion doll, now altered into a Gothic Primadonna.. Her transformation took place yesterday with the addition of Victorian beadwork, old Chantilly lace, antique pearls, vintage ormolu, and a big black spider. Now she is ready for the holiday season, a new home and a Midnight Ball. If you want her, she is $135 (10-29-08 - update - Velma sold and will be on her way to New York shortly)
